In 1998 I wrote a young-adult novel entitled Skye Object 3270a, aimed at an advanced middle school audience. The story was set in the Deception Well story world, but was otherwise independent of that book and its characters. The novel didn't find a publisher - no one knew quite what to make of it, I suspect - so it sat around for many years, until spring 2007, when I decided to offer it as an e-book. The format is a PDF file, and the cost is $3.00. When you complete your order, you will receive the file via an email to the billing address. May 28, 2007: As of this writing, Memory is still available from Tor Books, though I suspect that will not be the case for long. After Vast, Memory is my favorite of the books I have written. The Nanotechnology Novels
The nanotechnology novels were published from 1995 through 1998 by Bantam Spectra. Each works as a stand-alone story, but they can also be read as a loose series, beginning with Tech-Heaven, going on to The Bohr Maker and Deception Well, and culminating in Vast.
